 The Soul Music Album is a passion project made of originals songs written and performed from 2000-2010 by Keshena Armon. Each tune has a unique message of hope and inspiration, something that Keshena believes to be very significant for such a time as this.

  " Every song pinned is personal and a reminder that the unfolding of beauty during a very dark time is possible.  The entire project has songs that became a soundtrack of my young adult years. It's been a long time coming as it is a testament to my beautiful parents, aunts, uncles and elders I watched and learned from. Their dedication to building community through education and service lives deep inside of me. I'm so glad to finally reach the goal of sharing this project with the world just so I can say thank you to the special people who supported me throughout my musical journey. "

The songwriter shares that the recordings were meant to be reference tracks for a much larger production, however, after many years of challenges, she released them in order to "move on". Keshena persevered through many personal battles including divorce and single mother-hood, while supporting her parents after her father fell 40 feet from a building in 2001. The pandemic of 2019 was a time when artists all over the world were looking to create, connect and contribute. Keshena's desire was to offer words of assurance and hope to the world and the Soul Music Project was the vehicle.
